WELL BODY | 3 Steps To Get The Body You Want Without The Gym
By Hannah Northcott
The secret to a sustainable fitness routine is making it easy for yourself. Follow these three simple steps for a healthy habit that can be a part of your new normal to continually feel better and stronger, one day at a time.
STEP 1: DREAM IT
In spite of the global pandemic that is happening, what is the healthiest and most beautiful version of yourself that you can imagine?
Having a vision of what you want to achieve will pull you from where you’re at, to where you want to be. Oprah said it; we believe it. Put it on your vision board, write down the dream, or do both.
Here was an image of Kayla Itsines that I included in my vision board at the beginning of 2020.
In addition to my vision board, every day I also write, “I’m fit, happy, healthy, strong and inspire other women along the way,” as a part of my Magical Morning routine.

STEP 2: BUILD IT
Make a clear goal and go for it. That’s how we make dreams happen plus, infusing your goal with a “WHY” is the secret sauce that can add fuel to your work-out.
Ask yourself, “Why do you want to get fit and healthy?”
Learn about the power of WHY in our next Magical Morning webinar. Message becstarnz or Hannah_Northcott to join.
Then create a plan to get what you want. Here is what worked for us:
1. Find an EXERCISE PROGRAM that you can do at home.
Your choices will include the following:
stream workout videos from Youku, YouTube or a fitness app;
do the circuit training that your trainer or cross fit group has taught you; or
move your body every day with an outdoor activity like running, walking or biking while practicing physical distancing.
The key is to move your body for at least 30 minutes every day.
I’ve been using Beachbody on Demand that I bought for $99 a year. It’s been one of the best fitness investments I’ve made!
2. Create SPACE and TIME for yourself.
Create a home work-out station and get the equipment that you need.
Schedule it. If you don’t write it on your calendar, it’s not going to happen.

If you want to lose weight, couple the exercise with a nutrition plan or intermittent fasting.
Beachbody super trainer Autumn Calabrese often says:
“Don’t undo what you just did, in the kitchen.”
STEP 3: SHARE IT!
Find or join an accountability group and use community as a strategy for success.
Thought leader and New York Times bestselling author of Everything is Figureoutable, Marie Forleo, reported that:
Well Women co-founder Rebecca shared, “I gave up my excuses not to exercise – I have time, so this excuse was no longer valid or serving me. I’ve been the most consistent with fitness than I have been for years.”
How do we know that this process works?

Hi! I’m Hannah. I’m a working expat mama of two girls. I co-founded WellWomen, teach Drama and devour chips dipped in mango salsa. Clothing auctions, Orchard brunches and warm tropical beaches are my jam. I love creating content, courses, and events that empower and inspire women and young people to live their best lives.
Our family is currently in Thailand. We came here in March and hope to return to Beijing soon. We live in Shunyi and meeting-up at the Roundabout with girlfriends is one of my favorite neighborhood activities.
